Wisteria brings together ambitious, curious women in Computer Science to build the kind of community we all wish we had when we were starting out. We’re creating a space of support, mentorship, and open conversations.
The Wisteria Project is an 8-week mentorship program for incoming women entering computer science programs at Canadian universities.
1:2 mentorship model (1 mentor for every 2 mentees) with discussions led by mentors with structured discussion prompts
Build a project solo or with a partner and present it at our demo day! No coding experience required.
Hear real stories, important lessons, and career insights from women in the industry.
The transition from high school to university CS is challenging, especially for women entering male-dominated spaces with limited support. The Wisteria Project bridges that gap by offering structured mentorship from mentors who have gone through the same experience.
Vision
To build a future where every woman entering computer science feels confident, supported, and part of a community.
Mission
We empower incoming Women in CS by providing peer mentorship, project-based learning, and a supportive community where they can explore their interests, build skills, and navigate the transition to university life with confidence.
We’re currently seeking partners and sponsors to help support mentor socials, event logistics, and additional resources for mentees.
