Mentorship for Women in Computer Science That Builds Confidence, Community, and Careers

Wisteria brings together ambitious, curious women in Computer Science to build the kind of community we all wish we had when we were starting out. We’re creating a space of support, mentorship, and open conversations.

What We Do

The Wisteria Project is an 8-week mentorship program for incoming women entering computer science programs at Canadian universities.

Program Features

  •   1:2 mentorship model (1 mentor for every 2 mentees)
  •   Weekly mentor check-ins with guided discussion topics
  •   Hands-on project-based learning (no experience required)
  •   Cohort-wide panels and workshops with guest speakers
  •   Build a lasting network of women in tech

Why It Matters

The transition from high school to university CS is challenging, especially for women entering male-dominated spaces with limited support. The Wisteria Project bridges that gap by offering structured mentorship from mentors who have gone through the same experience.
